The 4th annual Oakland Blade Jam took place over the weekend and FILTHJUICE was eager to cover the event. Even with weather fears looming the comp went off without a hitch, thank you to B-Free & Omeezy for putting together another great event. Thanks to Skookum for the tunes and make sure to support your local blade & music scenes!
For over a year we’ve been stacking footage and taking photos of all our friends around Northern California. This short video showcases all the good times and great skating that went down!
Four years ago My wife and I hooked up two of our good friends, Brian Krans and Claire Fisher, knowing that they would be a perfect match. I guess That makes us oracles or prophets but the truth is they are perfect for each other.
The third installment of the Oakland Blade Jam returned back to its home, Oakland Town Park. Now nearly entirely concrete, the park had its first full-blown blader shredfest. More Filth
The Northwest Shred Tour 2015 took place last June spanning four days and more than nine parks. FILTHJUICE was lucky enough to make the journey up to Oregon this year and came away with some amazing memories, great photos and an edit for everyone to enjoy. More Filth
Last weekend our good friend Dustin Dixon made the drive down to the Bay Area to hang out, do some rollerblading and snap a pic or two. Matthew Bolger helped out and took this photo of Dustin launching up to Alley-Oop Topsoul at the 53rd street ledges (Emery Secondary School) in Oakland.
The gigantic ledge being flawlessly soul grinded by Matty Schrock in the photo above was the result of a $100 ‘challenge’ presented by none other than Aggressive Mall’s Paco-Ass Dre. Continue reading for an HD video of the trick and full background on what instigated the stunt in the first place.
Last weekend FILTHJUICE got together with some old friends to do some blading, take a few photos and catch up with Norcal legend Vinny Minton! Vinny, Ivan Narez, Victor Arias and Jose Fuentes was the crew assembled for the task and the near perfect line-rails in Pittsburg CA was chosen as the spot. Keep on reading for more high-resolution photos and little history lesson on one of our favorite dudes!
In our quest to expose as many cities, scenes and crew’s out here in Northern California, we at FILTHJUICE knew a trip to Sacramento was at the top of our list. The scene in our states capitol is one of the strongest in California, and probably the biggest in Norcal.
FILTHJUICE coverage of the 2014 Blading Cup. This year the contest was held in downtown Santa Ana on a closed ‘slope style’ course. The turn out was the largest ever for the event and the skating was equally epic.
